Learning Support Assistant

We are looking for a learning support assistants to work with our class teachers at our primary residential special needs school for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs serving a large area of Hampshire. We have small class groups with skilled staff and offer a residential experience for those children who need an extended curriculum, working alongside a dedicated care team.

We can support your development through our multi-professional team and offer you experiences to specialise and develop your practice.

Family Support Worker 

We are a primary special needs school for pupils with Social Emotional and Mental Health with residential provision. We have small class groups with skilled support staff and offer an extended curriculum through a residential experience for those children who need a 24 hour curriculum, working alongside a dedicated care team.

You will be required to work alongside the schools education team, care team and other professionals within the school to support pupils and their families who are identified as requiring additional interventions.

To manage a case load of families and support a multi professional intervention in partnership with other agencies.

To support individual children and their families to address issues relating to health, welfare and social care to enable them to engage fully and maximize opportunities for personal development and educational achievement.

To maintain good working relationships with all agencies and individuals involved in the delivery of services and the early identification of need.

To establish effective and empowering relationships with parents/carers.

To adhere to appropriate confidentiality and information sharing protocols and legislation with regards to sensitive data between families, staff and other relevant agencies.

To provide information and signpost parents/carers as appropriate.

To develop and deliver a preventative service and provide support to improve the quality of care both within and outside the family environment.

To work alongside the school’s Senior Family Support Worker, the Care Team and other professionals in the area to deliver a seamless service to families.

To take an active role in the support of pupils in multi-agency meetings.
