Exciting opportunity in an Outstanding residential school for 55 primary children with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs to lead and innovate within our long established residential unit.

The Lodge, our residential unit, is a 10 place Monday-Friday boarding, term time, facility for pupils who attend Wolverdene Special School. All pupils in the Lodge are offered a place to support their educational and social development; the right candidate will demonstrate an established practice and creative approach, combined with a genuine commitment to supporting children with the most complex and challenging needs. As well as high professional standards and a proven track record of improving services, a sense of fun and enjoyment is essential.

As part of your management role, you will be a member of the school’s Senior Management Team and, as such, will be expected to contribute to the management of the whole school as well as the day-to-day running of the residential unit.

We are a primary special needs school for pupils with Social Emotional and Mental Health with residential provision, serving half of Hampshire. We have small class groups with skilled support staff and offer an extended curriculum through a residential experience for those children who need a 24 hour curriculum, working alongside a dedicated care team.

We can support your development through our multi professional team and offer you experiences to specialise and develop your practice.

Your role will be based in our on-site residential unit covering a variety of day, evening and sleep-in shifts on a rota basis.
